Other people are willing and happy to take the risk and see it as a way of getting out of the rat race.

When you have an idea for a new business you then need to think of a name to call it. I would keep this name quite short as it makes it easier to remember for people. It obviously needs to have something to do with the business sector you are entering.

You will now need to work out how much money you will need to set up the business. This can be quite daunting but is essential. In the short term I would advise to keep these start up costs as low as possible, you can always buy or rent better machinery in the future as an example.

Once you are aware of how much money you need, you then have to find it. You may have enough yourself via savings or a redundancy payout, however most people are not in this position. If you do not have enough money, you could try and raise money via the family, by seeking a partner or by releasing the equity from your house. There is also the option of a business loan.

The next stage is to market your product or service. There are many ways of doing this including:

The internet via a website

An advert in the newspaper

Direct marketing in the form of leaflets

An advert in the yellow pages

Exhibitions

Trade fairs

I would advise finding out where other people from your industry advertise as they will have tried and tested many of the above options.

You then need to work out how much to charge for your product or service. I always keep these charges fairly low at the outset in order to attract as many people as I can and to get some income in. I then hope that word of mouth will take over and the idea is that after a few months I will be in a position to increase my fees.

It is also important to realise that we will make mistakes along the way. When this happens we need to think positive and not to beat ourselves up. It is an experience we can learn from.

Always have belief in yourself. At times any business will go through a rocky period, this is when we need to be strong. In my opinion the more work we put in, the more rewards we are likely to obtain.

Self-discipline is one of the keys to your success. Being able to choose your own hours of work may seem like a dream but it can prove to be many peoples downfall. We have to ensure that we work the required amount of hours. It is far too easy to stay in bed for that extra hour or to arrange yet another game of golf. These things are fine once you are established, but this is a long way off at this stage.

Nearly any substance existing on earth has the potential to be a child allergy trigger in some person because what characterizes something as a child allergy trigger is not so much the substance itself but the individual body`s immune reaction to it; with the exception of rare and hypersensitivities a host of common allergy triggers can be easily identified which are responsible for the vast majority of children`s allergies.

What Causes An Allergy In Children?

The mechanics of child allergies are not completely understood; it is not entirely possible to tell why some substances cause an allergic reaction in a given child while another is completely unaffected. There are a few basics things that are understood in terms of the mechanics of child allergies, though.

• Allergies are abnormal physical reactions to a specific substance or substances
• A child with an allergy to a specific substance (the child`s allergy trigger(s)) will react to an amount of that substance that most people would find harmless
• Over time, increased exposure to an allergen causes the affected child`s body to produce excessive amounts of the immune antibody Immunoglobulin, or IgE
• IgE reacts with allergens (triggers)
• The IgE/allergen reaction causes the body to release histamines and body chemicals into cell tissues
• Presence of histamines and chemicals in cell tissues produce allergic reactions, or allergy symptoms

In short, allergic reactions are functionally normal immune system responses to harmful substances (individual child allergy triggers); the only exception is that the subject child allergy triggers should not be viewed by the immune system as harmful, and thus should not elicit a response.

The Most Common Child Allergy Triggers

Most children with allergies react to one or more common allergy triggers; there are also children with hypersensitivities and less common, even extremely rare, child allergy triggers, so this list should by no means be considered exhaustive.

The list of common child allergy triggers is comprised of very normal, everyday environmental, natural, chemical, and food substances. Part of the reason for this is because most allergies come on over time with continued exposure to an allergen, and so those very common substances that people are around have greater potential to become child allergy triggers. The regular substances which account for the most common allergies include

• Pollens—from trees, flowers, grasses, and weeds; a child can be allergic to just one specific type of pollen from one plant, or to several types of pollens (pollen allergies are what is often referred to as "Hay Fever")
• Molds—either household molds growing in damp reaches of the home or mold found free-floating in outdoor air; the actual mold child allergy trigger is the mold spore, which is often released when the mold dries out, so even dried and seemingly dead/dying mold can present a danger to a child with a mold allergy
• Dust—or more accurately, dust mites; dust mites can irritate air passageways when inhaled and cause allergic reactions similar to Hay Fever. Dust mites feed on dust and dead skin, so where there is more dust, there are more dust mites which can trigger child allergies.
• Animals—animal dander and/or saliva can be child allergy triggers; any animal`s saliva or dander can be an allergen, but most commonly the culprits are horses, rabbits, cats, and dogs. The problem is not really the animal`s hair or fur, but animal hair goes hand in hand with offending dander.
• Chemicals and detergents—a long list of household and industrial chemicals used in beauty products, cosmetics, and cleaning products can be child allergy triggers. Likewise, soaps and detergents (including laundry detergents) can be child allergy triggers.
• Ingested items—this includes foods and medications. The most commonly offensive foods are milk/dairy, eggs, peanuts and tree nuts, soy, fish and shellfish, wheat, and peas. The most common allergenic medications are penicillin, aspirin, and sulfa drugs.
• Insects—in reality, the venom from insect bites and stings; bees (of a variety of types) are common child allergy triggers—bee stings can cause very severe reactions in some children.

The tendency to have allergies is somewhat genetic; children of parents with allergies have an increased likelihood of developing allergies themselves. The likelihood of child allergies is even greater for children with two parents with allergies. It is prudent for parents, especially those with severe allergies, to limit their child`s exposure to their allergy triggers and be watchful when a child is introduced to known parental allergy triggers.

We already know that the use of electricity, gas and coal are all resources that we may eventually run out of. These are the non-renewable resources that we rely heavily on today. The renewable resources consist of Solar, Wind, Biomass, Hydrogen, Geothermal, Ocean, and Hydropower We need all of these and right now we have access to each one of them. Solar refers to the solar energy that we get everyday either directly or indirectly from the sun. Solar energy can be used for several things, such as heating, electricity to home, schools, businesses, or buildings, heating water, cooling and ventilation.

Wind helps the suns heat down to earth. When the wind combines with the heat of the sun, it causes evaporation. When the water turns into precipitation it produces energy that can then be captured by hydropower.

Hydropower takes energy from flowing water and captures it turning it into electricity. Hydropower is very complicated and requires a great deal of technology in order to successfully accumulate energy from water.

Biomass is an organic matter that can help to make up the plants. It can be used for the production of electricity, transport fuels or chemicals.

Hydrogen is the most abundant element found on earth, usually with other elements. If hydrogen is found alone it can be burned or converted into electricity.

Geothermal looks toward the inner parts of the earth for heat and can be used for power, heating, and cooling.

Ocean produces thermal energy using the heat from the sun. It can also use mechanical energy for the tides and waves.

As you can see the renewable resources are all around us. We know what they do and how we can use them. There are so many benefits to using renewable resources. If we don`t use them now we may not have a choice later. The knowledge we learn from today will help us use the energy more wisely.

  Why is Solar Power Important

We have ways to heat our water, our homes and provide us with electricity. We probably take all of this for granted and if we lost them we would probably panic. We take for granted that these conveniences will be there for us from now on. We expect glitches to happen but we want them to be fixable without going long without all of these. We appreciate the heat in the winter when it snows outside and when the temperatures drop. We need water to live and although it is usually running under the ground we want the convenience of it running through our pipes and into our homes.

Electricity is nice when you can have lights with just a simple flick of the switch. In the summertime we experience some power outages when everyone turns on their air conditioners in order to tolerate the extreme temperatures beating down from the sun. This heat is sometimes so intense it can make someone, who has trouble breathing, struggle for every breath.

The sun is a very intense ball of gas up in the atmosphere. It burns twenty four hours a day, seven days per week. We only see it during out daytime but on the other side of the globe they get the daytime when we get the night. When the sun light beams down on the earth`s surface, a small percentage of the solar radiation heading for earth gets reflected. There are larger amounts of the sunlight that is actually absorbed. When you consider the fact that the sunlight must go through fog, clouds, dust particles and harmful pollutants in order to reach us that reduce the amount of sunlight that we receive even more. When it finally makes it to the earth`s surface it is then radiated back up into space. When it reaches the earth, plants and vegetation absorb it and the oceans, winds and other resources absorb the sunlight as well.

Some people use some of the heat generated from the sun in order to heat homes, power electricity and provide water to their families and businesses. When you think about all that you have that runs through a machine it may be possible to reroute that in order to run it all by sunlight. Scientists have only started to make this possible but it is far from being completed. When you consider all the solar energy that reaches the earth`s surface and then radiated back into the atmosphere, you could power electricity, heat and water from now on. This solar energy can be redirected and concentrated using special boxes that attract the light during the day to heat water and homes throughout the night.

Solar power is very important and provides a natural way to heat, obtain electricity and water with just a little more effort. In the future we may have no other choice but to look at natural resources in order to have these necessities and conveniences. Solar power is important now and in the future.

Today`s lovers and tomorrows foes. How much time does it take to turn love into hatred? If the love was that of love at first sight, then the hatred will also come within that much short time. Why does this happen? How does it happen that those who live for each other, become bitter foes? That is as much a mystery as the love itself. To find out why the lovers turn into foes, we must first find out how they became lovers. That is another mystery. Why should two people fall in love?

Indeed, why should two people, who many a times share very few common things fall in love? Is it looks? The manners? The intelligence? What attracts both to each other that many a times lovers commit suicide if separated. It is said that human race is a logical race. Everything we do is governed by logic. But is there any logic in love? One man may be meeting many girls during work, while socializing, but falls in love with one after few years. The same applies to many women. What is this? How does this happen? Ask a lover about why he/she fell in love with a particular person and you will get answers that will further confuse the enquiry.

Are we logical at all? Or are we totally governed by heart and take some steps that look absolutely illogical and many times idiotic? The truth is apparent. A human being is made of so many emotions that to try and analyze the personality is practically impossible. If it was that simple, no war would have taken place.

Coming to better things in life, why talk of negatives? Why not let positive thoughts make all of us feel better?

As I said earlier, we human beings call ourselves logical, but most of the times act in ways that will sound very illogical. Till we find the solution to this puzzle, let us enjoy life.

Of course, by no means is the above list all-inclusive. Rather, it`s meant only as a guide to help you understand the different aspects of a holistic health approach. The important thing to keep in mind is just that: the mind is sometimes the most critically vital part of the body to heal!

Percolators - Some Of The Basic Problems With Percolator Cofee


The word `percolator` has come to mean that special coffee pot that used to sit on Grandma`s stove and bubble away like mad all morning long. Typically they consist of a heat proof pot that holds the water, a long tube (like a straw) that holds a filter basket at the top. This filter is normally made of metal and holds the coffee grounds apart from the water in the main pot. Usually fairly oarsely ground coffee is used and a perforated lid is placed over the filter in order to distribute the water evenly over the grounds.

As the water in the pot reached the boil, it is forced up the tube and repeatedly spilled over the grounds in the filter basket. In this way both water and the freshly brewed coffee drips back down into the hot water and over the grounds. Gradually the coffee becomes stronger as the water/coffee continues to drip over the grounds. This process continues as long as the pot is kept at the boiling point.

Evn though we may hold special memories of percolaters, they are not a particularly good way to make a great cup of coffee. In fact many people rank percolator coffee right beside coffee boiled directly in the water! When it is made in a percolater a number of things happen that produce a less than perfect cup of coffee.

For starters, the water is overheated. Boiling water simply extracts too many of the unwanted bitter flavours in the coffee and should be avioded if possible (which isn`t possible with a percolator). Also the coffee grounds become overextracted by repeatedly passing already brewed coffee back over the grounds. Finally the boiling/percolating action of the liquid tends to release many of the desirable flavours and compounds into the air. While this does produce a wonderful aroma of fresh coffee in the house, it can often lead to flat tasting coffee.

In the end, it is often best to avoid percolators if you can. There are other affordable ways of brewing great coffee, even if it may mean turning your back on wonderful aromatic memories.

3 c Water, salted; boiling

1 ts Salt

3 oz Mushrooms, sliced canned

1/2 c Butter; melted

Place beans in saucepan containing boiling walted water. Add salt and sugare. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes; drain. Saute mushrooms in butter and add to beans.
